how long do I leave it in?
However long it takes to clean up - typically a few seconds! Leaving the sponge in the vaginal canal for a prolonged period of time does not increase effectiveness.

what is the difference between this and a tampon?
A tampon is a dense piece of cotton meant to absorb much more fluid for a long period of time. Dripstick is made of a soft sponge that absorbs quickly (in a few seconds), and meant for less and more viscous fluid.
does it prevent pregnancy, STDs or STIs?
Dripstick is NOT a form of birth control, STD/STI protection, or menstruation product.
what is the sponge made out of?
The sponge is made from medical grade polyurethane - this is the same material as non-latex condoms and the contraceptive sponge! There are zero additives. The handle is also made from polypropylene.
I am having trouble inserting dripstick
If you are having trouble with insertion, wait a minute for gravity to do it's thing! If the cum is deposited pretty deep inside of you and hasn't slid down yet, there is nothing for the sponge to absorb or slide against near the vaginal canal opening. You wouldn't slide down a Slip & Slide without water :)
the vagina is self cleaning!!!
Correct! The vagina is self cleaning. Our product is only to be used if there is excess cum present. It's a sponge meant to absorb liquids and contains no additives whatsoever. If you don't mind the drip or have other methods that work for you, great :)

Nope! Vaginal douching is washing the vagina with water or a mixture of fluids to eliminate odors and “clean” the vagina. Dripsticks contain ZERO additives or solutions. It's just a soft squishy sponge meant to absorb the extra cum :)

where do I put it when I’m done? is it disposable?
Great question! We created the packaging as a multi-purpose baggie - once you're done doing your thang you can just fold the funnel back up, pop it in the bag, and reseal it until you can properly dispose of it into the trash.
is it reusable?
Mainstream was created as a one-time-use product. Since it is disposable the materials do not allow for multiple uses.
